Slippery Rock Food

As a student here at slippery rock, I think the food here is some what descent. If you would compare our school to other PSAC schools how would our school match up? After thinking this I wondered more about this. I think it would be cool for some one to go around every weekend and try out other school's dinning halls. I've tried Clarion's and IUP's and I think our food is better then theirs. But I haven't tried them all, it's just a thought to see how good our food really is.

Intramural Sports

I think slippery rock is doing a great job with the intramural sports program here. I see a lot of people participating in football and soccer which is great. I think intramural sports are a great way for people to meet and have fun. Some people who don't have the time to do college sports can do intramural sports instead or just try some thing new. The number of participants has also grown considerably too. Good job intramural staff!

SRU Strong Man competition

On Saturday, Slippery Rock held its second annual strong man competition. It was a very nice day for the competition as many competitors and spectators came out to watch and compete. I went out and competed in the 150-170lb class which was tough. I thought the activities were tough, but also very fun. It was great to see a lot of the professional body builders (men and women) come out. There were a lot of great performances put on by many of the competitors. Overall I think it was a great event for participants and spectators a like. I encourage you to come out next year and watch.

1st track workout of the season

Yesterday was the first day for conditioning for the SRU men's track and field team. I think it went rather well for everyone that was involved. For me I was out of shape for our work out and extremely tired at the end of practice. This was to be expected on the first day especially for many of the runners. All summer long we rested and now were finally in the swing of things.
